Two Versions

Looking at these now, I sort of wish I had kept the first one, but I didn't. Somehow I didn't like it with only the shells, despite the fact that I spent several days painting them. After I forged ahead with the Fibonacci curve, there was no turning back. When I added the figures I obscured the meaning behind the painting, which is probably just as well, and I still have a satisfactory realistic image. The lower part of the painting doesn't show up in this picture as much as it actually does, but you get the idea.

Hi Cheri, I love the shells - I'm glad you got a photo of them - but I really like the figures with the shells layered behind them, partly obscured but still there, and the blurring of the Fibonacci curve I like also. Is that your house and car in the previous post? it is hard to imagine the cold and the snow, here it is very hot, especially today, and humid and the sky is heavy and grey with unshed rain. I hope that you and your four-legged and feathered friends are keeping well and warm. All the best, from Karen
